POSITION: Psychiatric Registered Nurse (RN)


SCHEDULE: Opportunities available for day, evening, and night shifts


FACILITY: Central NM CF


LOCATION: Los Lunas, NM


PAY RATE: $5000 Sign-on Bonus

As a Psychiatric RN, you’ll provide essential nursing and behavioral health services while helping patients achieve stability, safety, and improved well-being.


Position Summary

As a Psychiatric RN in our facility, you’ll provide patient care through screening, assessment, medication administration, treatment planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education. Your responsibilities will include:



  • Conducting physical, psychological, and psychosocial assessments and making appropriate triage and referral decisions

  • Administering and monitoring psychotropic and other medications, including IV therapy and IM injections, in accordance with provider orders

  • Providing therapeutic interventions, individual or group services, crisis care, and emergency response for patients with mental health needs

  • Leading and supporting RNs, LPNs, CNAs, and other nursing personnel involved in psychiatric patient care

  • Collaborating with medical, behavioral health, and correctional professionals to develop treatment plans and evaluate patient progress

  • Maintaining accurate electronic medical records while supporting infection control, quality improvement, and professional nursing standards


You’ll go beyond administering medications. You’ll provide the clinical leadership, therapeutic support, and compassionate care patients need during some of their most challenging moments.

What You’ll Need

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing

  • Associate’s Degree required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse license in the state of practice

  • Current CPR certification

  • Minimum of one year of clinical nursing experience preferred

  • Correctional healthcare experience preferred
