For nearly two decades, RSM students have consistently achieved remarkable scores on standardized tests and in national and international math competitions, although attaining top test scores is just one of the benefits of our program. RSM helps students of all levels become more confident in math and develop a deeper understanding of the subject.
The Russian School of Mathematics welcomes applicants for Vice - Principal in our Northbrook, IL location. The school is open from 3:30 pm to 8:30 pm on weekdays and 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on weekends.
The ideal candidate will serve as a chief administrator of campus in implementing policies, regulations, procedures and curriculum activities to meet the mission of the school. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for scheduling, personnel management, emergency procedures and facility operations.
Responsibilities:
  • Plan, manage, evaluate and supervise effective and clear procedures for the operation and
  • functioning of the school consistent with the philosophy, mission, values and goals of RSM
  • Support the School Principal to recruit, train, mentor and supervise all school personnel directlyand/or indirectly, evaluating and appraising performance
  • Regularly communicate with the School Principal, following the requirements and providing feedback
  • Effectively assess incoming students' level, follow and redirect their progress, communicate clearly with parents
  • Collaborate with the Principal and Marketing Department in developing and implementing annualmarketing plans
  • Establish procedures that create and maintain attractive, organized, functional, healthy, clean andsafe facilities
Qualifications:
  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Mathematics or a related field
  • At least 2 years of teaching experience in secondary schoolwith demonstrable application of social guided cognitive development (Vygotsky method)
  • Well-read about current events/trends in school education system
  • Strong managerial skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and presentational skills
  • Persuasive English writing skills
  • Ability to engage students and demonstrate the importance and relevance of Mathematics.
