About the Role
Power & Energy (P&E) is seeking a Senior Digital Product Owner - Sales & Operations Planning to support the global demand and supply planning process for Caterpillar's engine, genset, and power generation businesses.
In this role, you will partner with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Planning teams across the enterprise to develop data-driven insights that support demand planning, supply planning, capacity planning, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities. You will help transform large and complex datasets into actionable business intelligence that enables strategic decisions impacting Caterpillar's global Power & Energy business.
This position provides a unique opportunity to work across global operations, supporting factories, suppliers, and commercial teams while helping drive planning excellence through data, analytics, and digital solutions.
This role sits at the intersection of Power & Energy business operations, supply chain planning, and advanced analytics. The successful candidate will help shape demand and supply planning decisions for Caterpillar's global engine and power generation business while partnering with teams across Sales, Marketing, Manufacturing, and Supply Chain. It offers significant exposure to enterprise planning activities, global stakeholders, and strategic business initiatives.
What You Will Do
  • Support global Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) activities by analyzing demand, supply, and capacity data across the Power & Energy network.
  • Partner with Sales & Marketing teams to understand demand signals, forecast assumptions, and business drivers.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing facilities and supply planning teams globally to evaluate supply capabilities and planning scenarios.
  • Develop and maintain data models, dashboards, reporting tools, and analytical solutions that support business decision-making.
  • Analyze large and complex datasets to identify trends, risks, constraints, and opportunities across demand and supply planning processes.
  • Support Power & Energy Network Planning & Execution (NPE) activities, including: • Supply Planning • Capacity Planning • 24-Month Supplier Planning Signals
  • Gather, define, and translate business requirements into digital and analytical solutions.
  • Partner with stakeholders to prioritize data and reporting enhancements that improve planning effectiveness and operational performance.
  • Present findings, recommendations, and business insights to leadership through data visualization and executive-level communications.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives that enhance forecasting accuracy, planning effectiveness, and business decision-making.

What You Have (Required Skills)
  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Data Science, Information Systems, Information Technology, Engineering, Business Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Three to five years of experience in:
    • Data Management

Summary Pay Range:
$112,710.00 - $183,140.00
