Department Information
Within this setting, the new faculty hire will play a vital role in teaching introductory-level mathematics in a department that offers core courses in mathematics, statistics, data science, and mathematics education.
Job Summary
Reporting to the department chair, the V isiting Instructor of Mathematics will teach 15 credit hours in each of the fall and spring semesters. This is an academic year appointment for the months of August 2026-May 2027 . All visiting positions are non-tenure track appointments. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Required Qualifications
  • Earned master's degree in mathematics, statistics, or a closely related field w ith at least 18 graduate semester hours in mathematics or statistics, by August 1, 2026.
  • Willingness to engage with institutional student success initiatives.
  • Commitment to engaging with best practice initiatives in instruction and pedagogy, mentoring, and curriculum design and development.
  • Demonstrated commitment to teaching.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to teach face-to-face and online courses.

Proposed Salary
Commensurate with experience.
This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis.
