Job description

University Instructors is recruiting for placement of English and Math Tutors in Richmond, VA .  As our Instructor you will assist elementary and middle school students in building sustained basic math, reading, and English skills using the districts curriculum.  You will work one-to-one or small groups with students in a push-in/pull-out model. 

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist lead teacher by working with small groups in Math and English comprehension
  • Re-teach strands students are struggling with
  • Offer targeted assistance in order to achieve measurable gains

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree
  • Previous experience in teaching, tutoring, or other related fields
  • Pre-employment testing required for all Algebra Tutors (if needed)
