What You’ll Do

As a Middle School Math Teacher, you will:

Drive Academic Excellence

  • Deliver rigorous, engaging math lessons aligned to state standards and the RePublic Math vision.

  • Foster deep conceptual understanding through inquiry, discussion, and problem-solving.

  • Use real-time data to drive daily instruction and ensure all scholars reach academic mastery.

Foster a Collaborative Culture

  • Collaborate with grade-level and content teams to plan high-quality lessons and share best practices.

  • Engage in weekly professional development and reflect consistently to grow your craft.

  • Build a culture of high expectations, joy, and curiosity around math.

Provide Specialized Support

  • Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners, including those with IEPs or language support needs.

  • Integrate technology, hands-on activities, and real-world applications to deepen learning.

  • Use frequent formative assessments to target instruction and close gaps quickly.

Cultivate Meaningful Relationships

  • Bachelor’s degree (required).

  • Strong content knowledge in middle grades mathematics, with the ability to teach conceptual understanding, procedural fluency, and application.

  • Preferred: Prior experience teaching math, particularly in schools serving historically underserved communities.
