We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead pricing initiatives that drive revenue optimization and compliance across our healthcare technology business. This role partners with leaders and subject matter experts to continuously improve pricing processes for key business areas within OptumInsight. The Finance Manager will focus on pricing strategy development, streamlining approval routines, renewal strategies, and proactively recommending tactics to improve business results. Collaboration with Finance, Sales, Growth, Product, Operations, Legal, and other senior leaders is essential.

You'll enjoy the flexibility to work remotely * from anywhere within the U.S. as you take on some tough challenges. For all hires in the Minneapolis or Washington, D.C. area, you will be required to work in the office a minimum of four days per week.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage optimal pricing strategies for OptumInsight healthcare technology products to maximize revenue and margins
  • Deliver ROI analysis to understand client fee sensitivity and pricing strategy, using data visualizations to support the deal value proposition
  • Participate in deal development and negotiations to achieve solutions that meet internal and external requirements
  • Partner and negotiate effectively with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Finance, Product, Operations, and Legal
  • Prepare financial analysis and present deal economics, risks, and recommendations to senior management
  • Assemble operational and financial data to drive fact-based decision-making
  • Build, maintain, and enhance standard pricing and cost models on a quarterly basis
  • Develop accurate cost models to support pricing decisions in partnership with Finance and business owners
  • Identify and drive process improvements that simplify work, reduce internal costs, and improve customer experience
  • Review customer contracts to ensure accuracy and risk minimization
  • Provide pricing and broader financial support for large partnership opportunities and strategic initiatives
  • Ensure pricing guidelines are accurately reflected in Salesforce CPQ tools and other systems
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and internal policies related to pricing and financial operations

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Math, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business
  • 3 years of experience in pricing strategy, FP&A, business analysis, or consulting, ideally within healthcare technology
  • 3 years of experience with MS Excel, SQL, and BI tools, including significant financial modeling experience
  • Experience working with executive leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Proven excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in Math, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business; MBA or CPA
  • 5 years of experience in pricing strategy, FP&A, business analysis, or consulting, ideally within the healthcare technology industry
  • 5 years of experience working in MS Excel skills, SQL and BI tools, including significant financial modeling experience
  • Solid understanding of healthcare technology or revenue cycle management is preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and successfully manage high-impact projects and initiatives, foster and excel within a matrix work environment, and interact with all levels of management
  • Proven solid business acumen and analytics, with a high level of initiative and a strong ability to act independently
  • Proven well-developed interpersonal influencing skills include written and verbal communication with a track record of building relationships
  • Eastern or Central time zone

The salary for this role will range from $91,700 to $163,700 annually based on full-time employment. We comply with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
