Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience performing engineering analysis, quality assurance, systems testing, or production oversight to support the design, development, integration, manufacturing, assembly, testing, or delivery of complex hardware and technical systems.

Successful completion of a professional engineering degree. Current registration as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) by any State, the District of Columbia, Guam, or Puerto Rico.
