Duties
Help
  • You will manage security directives per national directive requirements in order to ensure constant compliance with established security requirements.
  • You will manage the SWFPAC Security Inspection Preparation Program and Security Criteria Deviation Program.
  • You will perform as the leading authority in strategic weapon policy development.
  • You will work under broad delegated authority for independent planning, scheduling, coordinating, carrying out, and monitoring the effectiveness of the Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Plan.
  • You will develop and manage an internal monitor program to continuously assess inspection preparedness and prescriptive compliance.
  • You will analyze situations complicated by conflict between established security policy and applicable Navy and DoD directives.
  • You will determine the need to deviate from security criteria standards and develop justification and mitigations for approval by higher authority.
  • You will ensure the physical security of personnel, facilities, and classified/sensitive information and materials.
  • You will manage the planning, development, and implementation of security operations, plans, policies, and procedures to ensure control and accountability of material/assets.
  • You will conduct physical security site surveys, inspections, and reviews for compliance.
  • You will plan, initiate, monitor, and evaluate a wide variety of complex security programs.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. You will be subject to random testing.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a Security Professional Education Development (SPeD) and Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC) within two years of the date of hire.

Qualifications
Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NH-02 (GS-11 equivalent) grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Managing and implementing security policies and programs (e.g. Anti-Terrorism Force Protection Plan, Foreign Travel Program) to ensure compliance and support mission protection.
