Title: Science Teacher
Reports to: Building Principal
Terms of Employment: Full-Time/Up to 186 days
FLSA Classification: Exempt
Minimum qualifications: Bachelor's degree (in a physical science) and hold a NH Educator Certification or be eligible for a site-based learning plan, as demonstrated by a statement of eligibility.
Job Goals: The teacher is up to date regarding curriculum content and effectively plans instruction, assesses student learning, and monitors students' understanding of the curriculum. The teacher establishes and encourages a positive student learning environment and provides clear communication with students. The teacher uses appropriate instructional techniques as well as continually evaluates, experiments, and refines instructional strategies while managing the classroom environment. The teacher fulfills professional responsibilities, including sharing responsibility for the accomplishment of school and system-level goals and policies.
