Utah Valley University is looking for an Instructional Assistant in the Computer Science Department. If you enjoy helping others, sharing your knowledge, and developing your skills then we invite you to join our team!
Summary of Responsibilities
Instructional Assistants in the Computer Science Department will support faculty in various duties relating to Computer Science courses including but not limited to:
  • Tutoring, grading, and course development.

Qualifications / Licenses / Certifications
  • Must be a current UVU student at the start of Fall 2022.
  • Have successfully completed CS 1400 & CS 1410 with a B or higher.
  • Received Grade of a B or higher in the course(s) assigned to IA for.
  • Have successfully completed 3000 level class with a B or higher.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities
  • Effective time-management and problem solving skills.
  • Competent skills in MS Office (including Teams) and Canvas.
  • Reliable and self-motivated.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with faculty, staff and students.
