Job Summary

The Clinical Educator will participate in planning, organizing, and evaluation of patient care in the Medical Surgical Units, the Definitive Observation Unit, and the Neuroscience Unit under the guidance and supervision of the Vice President of Nursing. This position helps to develop and maintain high quality, evidence-based care through education and training to achieve optimal patient outcomes and a high level of patient satisfaction. This position supports the nursing team and fosters a strong relationship with the leadership, medical staff, and employees.

Job Requirements

Minimum Education Requirement:

Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree preferred.

Minimum Experience Requirement:

Previous experience as an educator preferred. Excellent customer service skills.

Two years experience with neurology, oncology, and/or orthopedic patients preferred.

Minimum License Requirement:

Current California RN license.

BLS required.

ACLS required within 3 months of hire/transfer.

Annual 8 hours of Stroke Education required. Certification in area of specialty preferred.

National Institutes of Health (NIH) Stroke Scale Certification "A" required within 3 months of hire/transfer.

Pay Range:

$57.36 - $88.90
