Position Title:ย Middle School Science Teacher

Reports To:ย Principal

Job Summary:ย The Middle School Science Teacher is responsible for delivering high-quality science instruction to middle school students. This role involves developing and implementing engaging science lessons, fostering scientific inquiry and exploration, and creating a supportive and dynamic learning environment that encourages students' curiosity and understanding of scientific concepts.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Instructional Planning and Delivery:
    • Develop and implement a science curriculum that aligns with state and national standards.
    • Provide instruction in various scientific disciplines, including biology, chemistry, physics, and earth science.
    • Utilize a variety of teaching methods, such as hands-on experiments, demonstrations, multimedia resources, and inquiry-based learning, to engage students and enhance their understanding of scientific concepts.
  2. Student Assessment and Progress Monitoring:
    • Assess and evaluate student performance through quizzes, tests, laboratory reports, projects, and class participation.
    • Monitor and document student progress, providing timely feedback and support to address academic needs and promote growth.
    • Adjust instructional strategies and interventions based on assessment data and individual student needs.
  3. Curriculum Development and Enhancement:
    • Develop and update instructional materials, lesson plans, and resources to enhance the science curriculum.
