Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and energetic Early Childhood Teacher to join our team! You will be responsible for encouraging children’s intellectual, psychological, and physical growth. The ideal candidate is nurturing, patient, and creative. If you have a passion for helping children learn and reach their potential, we want to hear from you!
Responsibilities 
  • Provides exceptional nurturing and education to every child in their care.
  • Select developmentally appropriate  activities. 
  • Greets every child and parent with a positive attitude and a smile.
  • Establishes clear objectives for all lessons and projects and communicates those objectives to children.
  • Prepares materials and classrooms for class activities. 
  • Maintains a safe, clean, organized and compliant classroom. 
  • As a team player respects the overall philosophy and goal of Beach Babies.
  • Organizes and leads activities designed to promote development, such as games, arts and crafts, music and storytelling. 
  • Establishes a clear, constructive and supportive line of commitment with parents.
  • Observes and evaluates children's performance, behavior and social development. 
  • Participates in staff development activities, parent education and parent involvement activities. 
  • Meets with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress and needs and suggest ways that they can promote learning and development. 
  • Enforces all administration policies and rules governing students. 
  • Maintains accurate and complete student records as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience as a teacher in an early childhood program or with children ages 3 and under.
  • Strong understanding of child development.
  • Patient, kind, and nurturing.
  • Must be able to consistently lift children weighing 15-25 pounds, stand for long periods, sit on the floor for children’s activities, and be able to provide daily outdoor experiences.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
  • Appreciates that maintaining a clean, sanitary a aesthetically pleasing environment is essential and required.
  • Employment is contingent on a state and federal background check, up to date health screening for child care providers.
  • Must stay up to date with provided cpr, first aid, medication, and early childhood training and professional development.
