Job description

Job Title: Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) (Full Time, Part-Time and PRN)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic team at Florence Hand Home for Nursing and Rehabilitation in LaGrange, Georgia. As a PTA, you will work under the supervision of a PT to provide comprehensive treatment to patients, assisting with patient referrals, documentation, and other administrative tasks. Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive treatment to patients under the supervision of a PT, according to state practice guidelines

  • Assist PT in identifying appropriate patients and referring them to rehab accordingly

  • Document patient's daily participation and progress on progress note in an accurate and timely fashion, and obtain the co-signature of the PT

  • Ensure MD orders are obtained for treatments, recertifications, and discharges

  • Assist with other documentation requirements as indicated and according to state guidelines

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited university with a BA or Associates degree in Physical Therapy

  • Holds current license and/or registration in the state (as applicable)

  • CPR Certification (Preferred)

  • Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant (Required)
