Job description

Rugby Architectural Building Products is a wholesale distributor of specialty building products, operating out of 26 branches throughout the United States. Our primary business is non-structural architectural grade building products sold principally to customers who create and produce end-products for the commercial, industrial, retail, residential and institutional markets. (In New Century, KS, Lebanon, TN, and Rockford, IL - we do business as: Olathe Millwork, Warren Brothers, River City Millwork respectfully.)
Position: We are growing and seeking a Warehouse Associate & Backup Class B Delivery Driver! You will be responsible for a variety of warehouse duties, to include receiving, unloading, and storing material, as well as picking and loading product for our customer orders. Additionally, you will use your CDL B license to serve as a backup delivery driver as needed.

Your Day-to-Day: to crush it in our warehouse, you'll need to:
  • Offload trucks with materials from our vendor and load trucks with product to ship to our customers.
  • Operate a forklift; forklift operator experience and certification are a plus!
  • Ensure that material loaded for delivery matches customer orders.
  • Work safely, attend safety meetings and follow all safety procedures and policies
  • Lift extremely heavy, awkward products (up to 50-100 pounds with a helper) repeatedly to store and load onto a truck.
  • Use your CDL B license to deliver products on an occasional basis as a backup driver.

  • History of being a truck driver, delivery driver, and especially experience with a Class B CDL or Class A CDL.

  • Highly organized and self-motivated - you should be a self-starter who doesn't require constant supervision.
  • Experienced driver with a Class B driver's license (CDL B) and medical card
  • Able to pass drug test, background, Clearinghouse and motor vehicle pre-employment screen
  • Required to pass a driving test.
  • Must be able to pass a physical examination as required by the U. S. Department of Transportation and provide a valid medical card
  • This role is a Safety Sensitive position and subject to routine drug screenings.
