Duration: 12+ months

Responsibilities

The services provided will involve administering a Microsoft Azure environment, In depth work with Microsoft Azure and its relevant build, deployment, automation, subnetting, networking and security technologies in cloud and hybrid environments. Direct experience with the migration of legacy on premise servers and custom applications to Azure. Experience developing dashboards and reporting solutions to be used by internal business consumers coupled with solutions for external customers and any other networking solutions as required.

The Microsoft Azure Administrator contract will be used towards the day-to-day tasks which is based on a fixed quantity of predefined services. A service unit is defined to be equivalent to an eight-hour workday for one person. The Microsoft Azure support contract is broken out into four services.

1. Initial Analysis Service

2. Legacy Migration

3. Azure Administration

4. Microsoft Azure Technology Service

The consultant is required to have professional working experience at an advance level to carry out the following job duties.

  • Deploying, managing, and operating scalable, highly available, and fault tolerant systems in an Azure Cloud environment.
  • Configuring and implementing Azure Cloud resources to support new applications.
  • Supporting the migration of existing on-premises data center server environment and applications to Azure.
  • Maintaining Infrastructure as Code (IaC) provisioning templates.
  • Implementing and controlling the flow of data to and from Azure, using Azure services.
  • Selecting the appropriate Azure service based on compute, data, or security requirements.
  • Identifying appropriate use of Azure operational best practices.
  • Communicate orally and in writing to FDA customers and application teams.
  • Support the production of weekly activity reports, standard operating procedures (SOPs), software development lifecycle (SDLC) documents and checklists, risk and issues logs, and documentation artifacts.
  • Assessment of legacy on premises environment and ongoing migration to Azure.
  • Propose system modifications to provide an optimum level of security and functionality of DJJ systems within Azure.
