Job description

Data Warehouse and BI Developer

We are looking for a Sr. Datawarehouse and BI Developer to join our IT team. This person will oversee our Datawarehouse, Dashboards and SQL and Power BI Reports.

Compensation: $100-$110k

Location: 3040 Post Oak Blvd Houston TX (Galleria Area) Must be local to Houston

Responsibilities:

  • Troubleshoot and tune existing Data Warehouse, Dashboards and Reporting systems

  • Write and modify SSRS and Power BI reports

  • Design and improve current ETL processes

  • Maintain Azure Devops Pipelines

  • Develop Semantic Data Models for Power BI Reporting

  • Design, build and maintain unified data solutions in Fabric

  • Own and develop relationships with end-users, working with them to optimize and enhance existing reports and integrations

  • Help design, document and maintain system processes

  • Improve systems by studying current practices and designing modifications.

  • Recommend controls by identifying problems and writing improved procedures.

  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking state-of-the-art practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business or Information Science.

  • Minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in the field or in a related area.

  • Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2008 onwards, Transact-SQL, and Business Intelligence Development Studio (SSAS, SSIS, SSRS, Visual Studio).

  • Power BI Experience

  • Knowledge in Azure Data Factory and Pipelines

  • Familiarity with Essbase and MDX scripts a plus

  • Operational Data Warehouse experience

  • Must demonstrate basic knowledge or expertise in the following technology disciplines: Servers, Desktop/Laptop/Workstation Computing, Networking, Security, Programming, and/or IT Operations

  • Able to read, write and speak English fluently.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint) required.

  • Detail oriented and ability to work in a team setting.

  • Ability to be a self-starter and resolve issues with minimal supervision.

  • Maintains a positive attitude

  • Ability to handle multiple projects, prioritize tasks, and exercise good judgment.

  • Good customer skills

  • Willing to learn new systems and technology
