Job description

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer is responsible for the full-stack BI applications across a wide range of stakeholder groups within the business. The BI Developer supports the reporting and analytical needs of the business by defining, developing and configuring applications for internal and external usage. The ideal candidate will have a strong background working with finance department. They will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining our BI infrastructure, as well as creating reports and dashboards to support business decision making. Remote role, but must be able to work on-site in Ft. Lauderdale, FL as needed.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Design, develop, and maintain data warehousing, ETL, and BI reporting solutions.
  • Create and maintain reports and dashboards using BI tools such as Power BI, SSRS, etc.
  • Collaborate with the business and IT teams to understand reporting and data needs.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity through proper testing and validation.
  • Stay up to date with new BI technologies and trends
  • Evaluate user requirements and identify the best source and delivery of the information requested by business users.
  • Interface with stakeholders to gather business requirements, design appropriate BI solutions, and implement applications against development standards and best practices, and build key performance indicators for divisions of the business.
  • Design and develop enterprise and departmental business intelligence, data warehousing and reporting solutions.
  • Use warehouse data to develop and implement interactive analytical reports and dashboards to support business decision making and business performance monitoring.
  • Work with business users to generate and deliver quality reports and perform quality assurance checks on reports.
  • Create end-to-end solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Other duties as required or assigned.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science , Information Systems or equivalent education and/or experience
  • Minimum of 5 years using analytical tools including PowerBI and/or Tableau. Cognos experience a plus
  • Minimum of 5 years’ using databases, querying, data modeling and BI tools including SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, MDX, TSQL, PL/SQL
  • Minimum of 5 years of hands-on experience with data engineering including ETL and data warehousing
  • Minimum of 5 years of data modeling relational and multi-dimensional databases
  • Experience with Data Visualization and design
  • Experience working in a complex data environment with rapidly changing requirements
  • Prior exposure to cloud base data warehousing technologies preferred
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies
  • Minimum of 3 years using Azure data warehouse including experience with Azure data factory, data bricks and performing SSIS ETL from on premise solution to cloud data warehouse
  • Database / Data Warehouse Certification(s) a plus
