We are seeking a Senior Systems & Network Engineer to join our St. Louis-based engineering team. This is a senior-level, client-facing individual contributor role with strong influence on technical standards, solution design, and team success. The position reports directly to the Director of Engineering and offers a clear growth path into a Lead Engineer role for individuals who demonstrate ownership, leadership, and consistency over time.

  • Client environments supporting 25-500+ endpoints
  • Multi-site municipal and SMB networks
  • On-prem, hybrid, and cloud-first infrastructures
  • High-availability systems exceeding 99.9% uptime targets


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Act as a senior technical escalation resource for complex systems and network issues
  • Contribute to engineering standards, documentation, and best practices
  • Mentor junior engineers through guidance, review, and example
  • Design and implement solutions across servers, networking, security, wireless, and cloud
  • Engage directly with clients for discovery, assessments, and solution discussions
  • Produce accurate BOMs, SOWs, and technical proposals
  • Deploy and support Windows Server, virtualization, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments
  • Maintain clear documentation in Autotask, IT Glue, and internal systems


QUALIFICATIONS


  • 4+ years of experience in systems administration, networking, or project engineering
  • Strong networking fundamentals (IP, VLANs, routing, firewalling)
  • Advanced Windows Server, virtualization, and Microsoft 365 / Azure experience
  • Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
