Job description

Ideal Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate is a senior hands-on .NET developer with particularly strong SQL Server expertise who can develop and support complex enterprise applications while contributing to modernization initiatives. Candidates should be equally comfortable working with C# application code and complex SQL/database logic, with additional experience in React, Kubernetes, or legacy modernization considered a strong advantage.
 
Required Qualifications
7–10 years of hands-on software development experience in enterprise application environments
Strong hands-on development experience with C# and modern .NET (.NET Core / .NET 8/10)
Extensive experience with Microsoft SQL Server and T-SQL, including:
Complex query development
Stored procedure development
Query optimization
Database design
Performance tuning
Troubleshooting database performance issues
Strong experience designing and developing backend applications, services, and business logic
Experience supporting and maintaining large-scale, business-critical enterprise applications
Experience troubleshooting application and database issues in development and production environments
Strong understanding of software development principles, design patterns, and coding best practices
Experience working throughout the full software development lifecycle (SDLC)
Hands-on experience with React or other modern JavaScript frontend frameworks
Hands-on experience with Selenium for automated testing
Experience working with Kubernetes and containerized application environments
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting payroll, human capital management (HCM), financial services, or other complex enterprise business applications
Experience with legacy application modernization or system migration initiatives, including migration from mainframe or COBOL-based applications to modern .NET architectures
Familiarity with older .NET/legacy technology stacks (, MVC, WCF, WebForms) to support understanding and modernization of existing systems
Experience with Azure Cloud services
Solid grasp of SOLID principles, OOP, Dependency Injection / Inversion of Control (IoC), and multi-threading
Experience with ETL development using SSIS and reporting via SSRS
Experience with additional enterprise database platforms (e.g., Oracle) a plus
Experience with source/version control systems (Git, TFS, SVN)
Experience with data integration and enterprise system interfaces
Experience developing or consuming REST APIs and web services
Experience working within Agile/Scrum development environments
Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and business teams
