Senior Client Computing Consultant

Hybrid work 3 days onsite, and 2 days offsite – campus located in North Fort Lauderdale area

Duration: Contract to hire (3-6 months on contract). Must be able to convert without sponsorship

Must Haves & Responsibilities
  • AD experience – Active Directory
  • MDM piece is a must have – this is the focus – Master Data Management
  • Will have a team of 1 reporting to them
  • Hands on a must - hands on, hands on configuring, knows how to use Azure, Microsoft Intune, set up laptops, desktops, mobile phones and establish procedures
  • Responds to tickets and service requests
  • Work on setting policies as far as university-wide
  • Work with various dept to establish policies and procedures
  • Technical background in general and leadership move this forward
  • They will report to her and a new group, looking to create a client computing group/dept. They will need them to have a MDM experience with InTune, which is the main system
  • Being able to work on Policy, setting them University wide, working with the colleges and various departments to establish procedures moving forward. She said leadership role moving forward...all directors are WORKING Directors, and the assistant director is this, can log into MS Azure, can set up laptops, desktops and mobile phones and establish procedures, will have techs they need to train and set the direction technically, small dept. and is not there yet, NEED to have leadership.. a lot to ask with salary, but great benefits
  • Need to have GOOD MICROSOFT experience with all the AD, and cloud that is going on, looking for someone who is good and will be looking for growth, that is what they need!
  • MOST IMPORTANT, she said they will be working with the Security and Systems team, not necessarily getting hands dirty, they have a security team who sets policies
  • Need to have experience setting config policies, familiar with how tags and groups work and how they can use it at the University
  • Desktop/Helpdesk background helps and focus with be MDM
  • The environment is growing, they are centralized and decentralized, her team supports about 1500 devices, but working on this person will take initiative to incorporate the mobile devices, Mac OS and IPADS, etc.. will be next step!
