Enterprise Infrastructure Architect
Remote
ABOUT THE ROLE
Our client is seeking an experienced Enterprise Infrastructure Architect to lead the development and execution of infrastructure architecture strategies. In this role, you will partner with Architecture, Product Management, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to assess current capabilities, define improved processes, and deliver scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective infrastructure solutions. You will drive modernization initiatives, including cloud adoption, automation, and simplification, while establishing governance, standards, and reference models to ensure consistency and resiliency across environments. The successful candidate will advance data center and cloud strategies, identify and implement opportunities to leverage emerging technologies such as AI and automation, and provide architectural oversight for major technology investments and decisions. You will serve as a trusted advisor and change leader, influencing cross-functional teams to adopt modern, integrated infrastructure practices and drive transformational change.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
  • Define and drive the enterprise infrastructure architecture strategy, including current-state assessment and future-state roadmap
  • Partner with Architecture, Product Management, Engineering, and Infrastructure teams to align standards, roadmaps, and execution with business and technology objectives
  • Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives (cloud adoption, automation, simplification) to reduce complexity and improve scalability, performance, and operational efficiency
  • Establish and mature architecture governance, standards, and reference models to ensure consistency, resiliency, and security across environments
  • Drive adoption of observability, reliability, and performance engineering practices (e.g., monitoring, SLOs, service health) to strengthen system health and operational outcomes
  • Identify and implement opportunities to leverage emerging technologies, AI/AIOps, and intelligent automation to improve efficiency and service delivery
  • Provide architectural oversight for major technology investments and decisions, ensuring alignment with cost, risk, scalability, and business value
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and change leader, influencing cross-functional teams to adopt modern, integrated infrastructure practices

WHAT YOU BRING
  • Deep expertise across enterprise infrastructure domains, including cloud, hybrid, networking, compute, storage, and security
  • Proven ability to translate strategy into architecture standards, roadmaps, and scalable solutions that improve performance, resiliency, and operational efficiency
  • Expertise in cloud and hybrid architectures, with a focus on scalability, cost optimization, and reliability
  • Ability to establish and mature architecture governance, standards, and operating models aligned to enterprise practices
  • Experience driving improvements in observability, reliability, and performance engineering (e.g., monitoring, SLOs, service health)
  • Hands-on knowledge of automation and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to enable consistency, scalability, and efficiency
