Job Title: Senior Azure Red Hat OpenShift Developer
Location: Chicago, IL or Dallas, TX
 
Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Azure Red Hat OpenShift Developer to lead the design, development, and deployment of containerized applications on Azure Red Hat OpenShift (ARO). The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud-native development, Kubernetes orchestration, and DevOps practices, with a strong focus on scalability, security, and performance.
 
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop microservices-based applications using OpenShift on Azure.
  • Lead the implementation of CI/CD pipelines using Tekton, Jenkins, or GitHub Actions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate legacy systems with cloud-native solutions.
  • Optimize application performance and resource utilization in OpenShift clusters.
  • Implement security best practices including RBAC, secrets management, and image scanning.
  • Monitor and troubleshoot application and infrastructure issues using Prometheus, Grafana, and EFK stack.
  • Mentor junior developers and contribute to architectural decisions.
  • Document technical solutions and provide knowledge transfer to operations teams.
 
 
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • 6+ years of experience in software development in OpenShift and Azure.
  • Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration.
  • Hands-on experience with Azure services (AKS, ACR, Azure DevOps, etc.).
  • Proficient in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Go.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible).
