Reviews, analyzes, and evaluates business systems and user needs to recommend solutions that enable an organization to achieve its goals.
IMPORTANT: 
1 - This is a FULLY ONSITE position. Only submit LOCAL candidates who are willing to work fully onsite, 40 hours/week in this role.
2 - Candidates must be willing and able to go to the client location for an ONSITE, IN-PERSON interview if selected for interview.
 
3 - Exceptional communication skills (both written and verbal) are critical in this role as the resource will be interacting regularly w/technical developers, architects, and managers, as well as non-technical subject matter experts, stakeholders, and project managers.
 
The Idaho Transportation Department is looking for an experienced Business Analyst to find opportunities to improve business processes through changes in operations and/or through technological implementations. The analyst will work closely with our business-side partners to analyze and document their processes, identifying unnecessary processes and time wasters, and coming up with suggestions for improvement. They will be expected to write user stories in Azure DevOps to translate business needs into technical requirements. They will determine what all is needed, ensuring the requirements list is concise but complete. They will also work with product owners to prioritize requirements and help determine order of implementation for changes and features.

A solid understanding of how to find/implement business efficiencies is a must. Experience working with developers in an Agile development environment is critical to success. Experience working with software development teams will help a candidate be successful. Understanding of how law and statute can impact processes will also be valuable, as would experience working with government entities.

This is an in-person position at the Idaho Transportation Department Chinden Campus in Boise, ID.
