Job description

Responsibilities include:

• Develops new SSRS reports and database objects against complex enterprise databases (both SQL Server and Oracle) and modifies or enhances existing SSRS reports and database objects as assigned

• Create and maintain .Net Core MVC applications

• Demonstrates experience with the design of relational and multidimensional database

• Demonstrates proficiency in performance tuning to ensure quality and performance of SSRS reports 

• Tests the SSRS reports and database objects created and maintained by the service center thoroughly prior to user testing.

• Applies Agile development principles

• Works with business users to gather and document requirements and ensures solutions meet their business needs

• Assists in designing reporting database solutions for the service center and configuring report servers and security

• Researches functionality in new software releases and performs, documents, and assists other staff in the upgrade processes.

• Uses Azure DevOps and work items and provides project statuses and project time estimates to the reporting section supervisor

• Uses GIT for code repository

• Adheres to any standards set by the Service Center and the Governor's Office of Administration

• Demonstrates analytical and customer service skills

• Ensures that best practices are maintained and mentors team members on the best practices, standards, and IT processes

• Documents all work for future reference

• Independently executes all tasks and work assignments

• Create, configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines to automate build and deployment.

• Publishing reports to power BI service workspaces and managing pipeline to deploy the reports to different environments. 

 

Skills required:

• 8+ years of related work experience

• Excellent verbal and written communication required

• 4-year college degree or equivalent technical study desired

• Extensive experience working with Microsoft tools, with in-depth SSRS development knowledge and SQL Server Integration Services to perform ETL operations

• In-depth experience with .net core, MVC, C#, dependency injection, JavaScript, and jQuery experience

• Extensive experience handling large datasets and reporting based on various data sources

• In-depth experience working with Oracle databases and PL/SQL using SQL Developer

• In-depth experience working with SQL Server databases and T-SQL using SQL Server Management Studio

• In-depth experience with data modeling and the ability to analyze and understand database design
