Position Overview

We are looking for a Lead Data Architect with strong experience in data engineering, cloud architecture, big data technologies, and large-scale data systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing scalable data solutions, leading technical discussions, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop scalable data architectures and solutions.
  • Understand customer use cases, business requirements, and technical needs.
  • Translate business requirements into effective technical architecture and solutions.
  • Design high-level software and data architecture, including components, interfaces, and integration strategies.
  • Collaborate with product owners, architects, designers, developers, and other cross-functional teams.
  • Develop and maintain backend applications, APIs, and microservices.
  • Define and implement software testing strategies and best practices.
  • Support CI/CD, test-driven development, and agile methodologies.
  • Optimize application and data platform performance.
  • Implement security practices including data encryption and anonymization.
  • Evaluate and incorporate emerging technologies to improve development efficiency.
  • Lead technical discussions and clearly present architecture and solutions to stakeholders.

Required Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, or a related field.
  • Strong experience working with large-scale data systems.
  • Expert proficiency in Python or Scala.
  • Advanced SQL skills including complex querying, data manipulation, and database design.
  • Extensive experience with Apache Spark, Hadoop, Kafka, and/or Flink.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform cloud platforms and their data services.
  • Experience with AWS Glue, S3, Redshift, Athena, Azure Data Factory, Databricks, BigQuery, and/or Dataflow.
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing, data modeling, ETL/ELT, and data management.
  • Experience with Cloud Architecture and Cloud Infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of NoSQL, Kubernetes, Docker, Java, and Python.
  • Experience with Git/GitHub.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to lead technical discussions and present complex technical information clearly.
