Job description

Job Summary:
Wipro is an end-to-end digital transformation partner seeking an Azure Cloud Engineer specializing in AI/ML services. The role involves developing and deploying AI features using Microsoft Azure, providing support for customer issues, and maintaining operational excellence in AI services.
Responsibilities:
• Develop, integrate, and deploy AI features using Microsoft Azure AI services (including GenAI capabilities) into enterprise applications and APIs.
• Perform prompt engineering, evaluation, and fine-tuning activities to improve accuracy, relevance, and response quality for business scenarios.
• Implement and operate MLOps practices: model packaging, versioning, release management, and controlled rollout to production.
• Provide L2 support for customer issues: triage incidents, troubleshoot model/API errors, diagnose latency/timeouts, handle quota/config issues, and coordinate fixes with L3/product teams.
• Monitor AI services in production (availability, latency, throughput, cost) and recommend optimizations for reliability and cost efficiency.
• Maintain operational excellence: RCA, knowledge base articles, runbooks, automation scripts, and continuous improvement to reduce repeat incidents.
• Work within Agile delivery, using Git and CI/CD to ensure consistent engineering quality and deployment discipline.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Strong hands-on experience with Azure cloud services (provisioning, configuration, security basics, and troubleshooting).
• Working knowledge of GenAI/LLMs, including prompt design, evaluation, and tuning approaches.
• Familiarity with Azure ML/MLOps concepts and managing model lifecycle activities in an enterprise context.
• Good debugging skills across APIs, logs, metrics, and distributed systems; strong customer-facing communication for incident handling.
