An Azure Cloud Engineer Entry Level is responsible for assisting with the setup, management, and maintenance of cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure. They typically support more senior engineers by monitoring cloud resources, troubleshooting basic issues, and helping implement security and compliance measures. Entry-level engineers also participate in deploying virtual machines, managing storage, and ensuring reliable network connectivity. This role helps organizations leverage Azure's cloud services while gaining hands-on experience and building technical skills.

What types of projects and tasks can an entry-level Azure Cloud Engineer expect to work on during their first year?

As an entry-level Azure Cloud Engineer, you'll typically be assigned to support the deployment, configuration, and monitoring of cloud resources in the Azure environment. Early projects often include assisting with virtual machine setups, managing storage solutions, automating routine tasks with scripts, and troubleshooting basic connectivity or performance issues. You’ll likely collaborate closely with more experienced engineers, developers, and IT support teams, gaining hands-on experience with Azure services and learning best practices for cloud security and cost management. This foundational work prepares you for more complex responsibilities and certifications as you grow in the role.
