Job Classification Summary The Town of Wickenburg Police Department is seeking dedicated and qualified candidates for the position of Police Officer. All candidates will register on the National Testing Network (NTN), schedule, and complete the Law Enforcement test. Candidates must also complete the Public Safety Self-Assessment and Personal History Questionnaire (PHQ). STEP 2 | AZPOST.
Create an account with the Arizona Peace Officer Standards and Training Board (AZPOST), complete a Personal History Form, and share it with the Wickenburg Police Department. STEP 3 | Town of Wickenburg Application. Complete a Town of Wickenburg application through the town's Job Posting Page.
STEP 4 | Physical Testing. Successful candidates will be invited to complete the Physical Aptitude Test (PAT). STEP 5 | Oral Board Interview.
Qualified applicants will be invited to an Oral Board Interview. STEP 6 | Background Interview & Investigation. The most qualified applicants will be contacted by a police department background investigator via email, mail, and/or telephone to be scheduled for a background interview.
STEP 7 | Polygraph. The most qualified applicants will be given a polygraph examination (lie detector test) administered by a trained, professional examiner. STEP 8 | Psychological.
Applicants will be evaluated by a licensed psychologist. STEP 9 | Medical Examination. Applicants will undergo a complete medical examination administered by an AZPOST certified physician.
STEP 10 | Final Offer of Employment. Upon successful completion of the entire employment process, applicants may receive a final offer of employment. Minimum Qualifications Education and Experience: High School Diploma or GED supplemented by specialized training in law enforcement; or an equivalent combination of directly related education and experience.
