Global Impact Group LLC is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) and ISO 9001 / ISO 17100 certified provider of interpretation and translation services. We deliver secure, high-quality language access in more than 80 languages for USCIS and other federal agencies.
We are seeking Azerbaijani Over-the-Phone Interpreters (OPI) to support our USCIS contract. Azerbaijani is a rare but essential language for asylum and immigration cases, requiring interpreters who can provide culturally sensitive and accurate communication.
Responsibilities
  • Provide real-time Azerbaijani ↔ English telephonic interpretation for USCIS officers, applicants, and stakeholders.
  • Interpret accurately, neutrally, and professionally in immigration, legal, and administrative contexts.
  • Maintain confidentiality and comply with USCIS/DHS interpreter standards.
  • Handle both scheduled assignments and urgent/surge calls.
  • Participate in training, compliance refreshers, and quality assurance reviews.
Qualifications
  • Native or near-native fluency in Azerbaijani and English.
  • 2+ years of professional interpreting experience (immigration, legal, healthcare, or government preferred).
  • Familiarity with interpreter ethics, confidentiality, and cultural awareness.
  • Excellent telephone communication skills; ability to remain accurate under pressure.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or permanent resident eligible for Tier 3/Tier 5 clearance.
