Job description

Account Executive – Enhanced Wax Products

Phoenix, AZ

Job Purpose
  • The Account Executive is responsible for driving profitable revenue growth through the development and expansion of strategic customer relationships within the candle, packaging, personal care, bottle seal, industrial wax, specialty wax, and adjacent manufacturing markets.
  • This is not a general B2B sales role. The successful candidate must be able to sell products, materials, ingredients, packaging, chemicals, coatings, consumables, or technical solutions into product-based, manufacturing, industrial, or regulated customer environments.
  • The ideal candidate brings relevant industry relationships, consultative selling ability, strong account development discipline, and enough technical curiosity to work effectively with laboratory, production, supply chain, and customer service teams. This individual will identify, develop, and close new business opportunities while expanding existing customer relationships and strengthening the position of Calwax and Southwest Wax as preferred suppliers within targeted market segments.
  • Success in this role will be measured by profitable revenue growth, gross profit generation, new account acquisition, customer retention, pipeline development, and expansion of strategic customer relationships.
Required Industry Profile
  • Wax industry experience is preferred, but not required. However, candidates must have experience selling into manufacturing, industrial, packaging, consumer products, technical product, or regulated customer environments.

    Relevant experience may include selling into one or more of the following markets:

  • Packaging, paper packaging, flexible packaging, labels, closures, or related converting markets.

  • Candles, home fragrance, fragrance, cosmetics, or personal care manufacturing.

  • Wine, spirits, beverage, bottle packaging, closures, or decorative packaging markets.

  • Specialty chemicals, coatings, adhesives, sealants, polymers, resins, waxes, additives, or raw materials.

  • Medical, pharmaceutical, dental, laboratory, or other regulated product environments.

  • Construction materials, building products, roofing, composites, or industrial manufacturing markets.

  • General B2B sales experience alone is not sufficient unless the candidate can demonstrate direct experience selling into manufacturers, industrial accounts, regulated product environments, or other product-based businesses.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Existing relationships within one or more relevant industries, including candle manufacturing, home fragrance, fragrance, wax manufacturing, packaging, wine and spirits packaging, personal care, cosmetics, specialty chemicals, coatings, medical, pharmaceutical, dental, construction materials, consumer products, or industrial manufacturing.

  • Experience selling raw materials, specialty ingredients, packaging materials, specialty chemicals, waxes, coatings, adhesives, polymers, resins, additives, or manufacturing-related products.

  • Wax industry experience.

  • Packaging industry experience.

  • Experience selling to owners, purchasing leaders, R&D, chemists, formulators, plant managers, production managers, quality teams, brand managers, or contract manufacturers.

  • Participation in relevant trade associations, industry organizations, trade shows, or market events.

  • Spanish language proficiency is a plus
