Description
Job Summary
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Elementary School Teacher for 1st Grade to join our school for the 2025-2026 academic year. The ideal applicant is someone who is dedicated to both student development and academic success, who infuses their teaching with creativity, and who cultivates a welcoming and inclusive learning environment.
Responsibilities and Duties
Create, deliver, and evaluate lessons in accordance with the curriculum and state standards
Establish and maintain a classroom culture that promotes learning, respect, and high expectations
Establish and maintain communication with families regarding student progress and classroom activities
Maintain up-to-date class records, including attendance logs and grade computations
Attend weekly PLC meetings to actively collaborate with educational team.
Participate in professional development and school-wide initiatives.
Support school events such as field trips, parent engagement nights, and other activities meant to foster a sense of community.
Qualifications and Skills
Must possess a valid NJ Teaching Certificate: Standard, CEAS/CE, or Limited CE in appropriate grade level and/or content area
Must pass criminal history background check
Bachelor's degree or higher in relevant field
