Structural Steel Welder - Fabrication (AWS D1.1)
Location: Coatesville, PA
Pay: $22-$34/hour (based on experience & certifications)
Schedule: 5:00 AM start | 10-hour shifts | 30 minute lunch
Facility: 65,000 SF AISC Advanced fabrication shop (growing)

JGM Fabricators & Constructors is an AISC Advanced Certified Fabrication Shop expanding to support complex, high-profile bridge projects across the U.S. We are hiring structural steel welders who take pride in safety, quality, and precision-and want a career that supports long-term financial well-being.
Our teams fabricate steel for Data centers, stadiums, conveyor structures, and automated-racking systems.
Experience Required
  • 2+ years structural steel welding experience
  • Current or prior AWS welding certifications preferred (D1.1 / D1.5)
  • AISC fabrication shop experience preferred
  • Strong focus on weld quality, accuracy, and safety
  • Ability to work in a team-driven, safety-first environment Supporting continuous improvement initiatives

Key Responsibilities
  • Weld bridge components using FCAW, GMAW/MIG, SAW, and SMAW in accordance with AWS D1.1
  • Interpret weld symbols, WPSs, and shop drawings
  • Perform weld prep, grinding, gouging, and cleanup as required
  • Work safely with overhead cranes, fixtures, and heavy plate assemblies
  • Maintain compliance with AISC, AWS, and OSHA safety standards
