Who You Are and What You'll Do:

Capnexus is looking for a highly skilled Senior AWS Full Stack Developer to design, develop, and deliver a cloud-native application for a 12-week AI-powered modernization engagement in the construction industry. You will serve as a hands-on full stack developer building an intelligent subcontractor pre-qualification platform leveraging AWS services including Amazon SES, QuickSight, Lambda, and API Gateway, with a modern frontend and serverless backend. This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge generative AI solutions that transform manual document review workflows into automated, intelligent processes.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop the application architecture, UI/UX, and technical requirements during the Discovery & Design phase.
  • Configure and integrate AWS SES for automated email delivery and Amazon QuickSight for executive-facing dashboards.
  • Build and deploy a document upload portal enabling subcontractors to submit insurance certificates, bonding letters, and financial statements.
  • Develop RESTful and serverless APIs using AWS Lambda and Amazon API Gateway to support frontend/backend integration.
  • Create real-time status and risk profiling dashboards in Amazon QuickSight integrated with CMIC ERP data.
  • Integrate AI-powered document validation and exception management workflows driven by Amazon Bedrock.
  • Build and manage automated subcontractor outreach features including personalized email generation and response tracking via Amazon SES.
  • Develop and host frontend applications using AWS Amplify, Amazon S3, and Amazon CloudFront.
  • Participate in CI/CD pipeline setup, automated testing, and deployment to production environments.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional team members including AI/ML, DevOps, and Data Engineering resources.
  • Conduct integration testing, support user acceptance testing (UAT), and develop user training materials.
  • Contribute to knowledge transfer documentation and post-deployment operations guides.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of full stack software development experience, with at least 2+ years working in AWS cloud environments.
  • Proficiency in modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or Vue) and backend development using Python, Node.js, or TypeScript.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS serverless architecture including Lambda, API Gateway, S3, and Amplify.
  • Experience building and configuring Amazon QuickSight dashboards and data visualizations.
  • Familiarity with Amazon SES for transactional and automated email workflows.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful API design, data modeling, and cloud-native integration patterns.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (AWS CodePipeline, CodeBuild, or equivalent).
  • Solid skills in frontend/backend integration, application testing, and deployment automation.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities within Agile/Scrum teams.

Nice to Have:

  • Experience with Amazon Bedrock, Amazon Textract, or other AWS AI/ML services.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems or API integrations (CMIC or similar construction/enterprise platforms).
  • AWS Certification (Developer Associate or Solutions Architect).
  • Experience with CloudFront CDN configuration and S3 static site hosting.
  • Background in construction, insurance, or financial services industries.
