Professionals in these roles help financial institutions and fintech companies leverage AWS's cloud computing services to build secure, scalable, and innovative financial solutions. Responsibilities may include designing cloud architectures for banking applications, ensuring regulatory compliance, managing data security, and optimizing system performance. These jobs typically require expertise in cloud platforms, financial regulations, and modern software development practices. AWS Fintech professionals play a key role in digitally transforming the financial services industry.

What are some typical challenges faced by professionals working in AWS FinTech roles, and how can I prepare for them?

Professionals in AWS FinTech roles often encounter challenges related to regulatory compliance, data security, and managing large-scale, real-time financial data. Job description

Amazon EC2 (Elastic Compute Cloud) is looking for a Senior Product Manager to help define and build the future of cloud computing. Customers around the world rely on Amazon EC2 to provide elastic, high performance, secure, and cost effective resources to scale their infrastructure to keep up with their changing business needs. Within the AWS Private Pricing team, you will help build our worldwide pricing strategy as well as pricing models designed to accelerate cloud adoption and simplify migrations; and the tooling we require to improve the customer experience. As a member of the broader EC2 Product Management team, you'll join other respected product and engineering leaders to create the future of the computing platform.
This role sits within the AWS Pricing organization. Our team manages public and private pricing tooling for services Deals Desk supports, including EC2, S3, EBS, EC2N, NAT Gateway, among others. This role in particular acts as an EC2 Core Pricing Subject Matter Expert (SME). You will work closely with the Strategic Customer Engagement, Specialist Organization, Go-To-Market, and Account Teams to develop innovative pricing models to win more private pricing deals. Specifically for EC2, you will own the Deal Intake Module within Deal Management Console.
You will be surrounded by people who are smart, passionate about cloud computing, and believe that world class support is critical to customer success. Every day will bring new and exciting challenges on the job while you:
• Define high-quality roadmaps based on team strategy and vision
• Develop detailed, crisp business narratives and user stories that can be used to create pricing strategies, product specifications and new features
• Define business cases, competitive analysis, pricing analysis, and financial (P&L) models
• Work closely with product and service leaders, sales teams, solution architects, business development and engineering teams to solve complex product and pricing issues
• Become the subject matter expert on specific services and use cases; recommend features, functionality, and tools to help customers more easily adopt AWS products and services
• Manage prioritization and trade-offs between customer experience, performance and operational support load
• Develop high quality reporting for executive leadership
Candidates who are a fit for the job will:
• Have a passion for developer-focused products, and defining pricing and product solutions working across a wide range of customers and other internal and external stakeholders
• Can think big, are able to break down the big picture, and deliver on goals that will get us there
• Have an instinctive understanding of a good product, and can raise the bar on customer-focused thinking end to end among team members with reasoned, data-driven analysis
• Can dive into technical details and ask engineers insightful questions about the services and dependencies you influence
Key job responsibilities
You co-own both the Deal Management Console roadmap for all services Deals Desk supports (EC2, Storage, EBS, among others) and the EC2 Private Pricing Roadmap. Both of these roadmaps support strategic deals for the Compute organization.
DMC is used by Deals Desk to analyze, qualify and ultimately approve deals submitted by Sales teams. The EC2 Private Pricing roadmap builds the different pricing models we use to provide competitive prices to our most strategic customers. These pricing models are onboarded to DMC for Deals Desk and other teams to use.
This role in particular acts as an EC2 Core Pricing Subject Matter Expert (SME). You will work closely with the Strategic Customer Engagement, Specialist Organization, Go-To-Market, and Account Teams to develop innovative pricing models to win more private pricing deals. On a weekly basis, you will act as the Service-level approver for AWS' largest private deals.
A day in the life
You'll manage the requirements from Deals Desk and other partner teams. For example, you'll partner with AWS Fintech to determine how to integrate pricing optimization functionality into DMC.
You'll establish the metrics needed to ensure the features and products you own are meeting/exceeding expectations.
You will shadow deal requests with Deals Desks and co-write private pricing strategy papers that turn into 5Q and PRFAQ artifacts for new private pricing features.
You are part of an on call that helps answer customer questions about pricing and implementation.

- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
