AHEAD is seeking a Technical Consultantย for theย implementation and optimization of enterprise storage environmentsย across Datacenter and Cloud environments. This is a customer-facing, delivery-focused role responsible forย deploymentย ofย scalable storage solutions, executing infrastructure projects, and serving as a trusted advisor to clients and internal teams. The ideal candidate brings strong hands-on experience acrossย Block andย Fileย Storage, SAN Infrastructure, troubleshooting, documentation, and collaboration across delivery workstreams.ย This role requires Travelย throughout the US.ย 
Responsibilities
  • Implement storage solutions for performance, availability, recoverability, scalability, and operational simplicity across on-premises and cloud environments.ย 
  • Deploy data center and cloud storage technologies includingย PowerMax,ย PowerScale,ย PowerStore, NetApp ONTAP andย StorageGRID, Pureย FlashArrayย andย FlashBlade, Nasuni,ย Cloudian, and related platforms.ย 
  • Design, configure, and deploy SAN infrastructure, including Cisco and Brocadeย Fibreย Channel switching.ย Performย SANย interoperability analysisย across server, switch, and storage infrastructure.ย ย 
  • Support replication andย storageย continuity technologies such as SRDF,ย SyncIQ, Pure,ย SnapMirror, Zerto, and related array or host-based tools.ย 
  • Develop technical documentation including solution designs, implementation plans, operational procedures, and knowledge transfer materials.ย 
  • Act as a technical point of contact during delivery engagements, status meetings, cutovers, and escalation events.ย 
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, account teams, and customer stakeholders to align scope, timeline, and technical outcomes.ย 
  • Provide post-implementationย knowledge transfer, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement recommendations.ย 
  • Contribute to delivery consistency, technical quality, and customer satisfaction while supporting junior team members as needed.ย 
  • Maintain awareness of emerging storage, cloud, and infrastructure trends and recommend practical improvements to delivery methods and client environments.ย 
Qualifications
  • Hands-on experience in enterprise storage infrastructure delivery roles, ideally within consulting, professional services, or complex customer delivery environments.ย 
  • Strong experience with major storage platforms including Dell EMCย PowerMaxย or VMAX,ย PowerScaleย or Isilon, Unity,ย PowerStore, Pure Storage, NetApp, Nasuni,ย Cloudian, and comparable enterprise technologies.ย 
  • Experience with SAN implementation and interoperability analysis.ย 
  • Experience withย integrating, andย supporting storage solutions across major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud.ย 
  • Working knowledge of automation and orchestration using tools such as Python, Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript, Ansible, Terraform, or Jenkins.ย 
  • Ability to troubleshoot complex storage and connectivity issues across arrays, hosts, switches, and supporting infrastructure ecosystems.ย 
  • Strong communicationย and documentation skills, including the ability to explain risks and recommendations to both technical and business stakeholders.ย 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently in client-facing delivery environments.ย 
  • Experience in deployment and support of enterprise Storage Systems including both block and unstructured data.ย 
  • Familiarity with AI productivity tools and practical use of automation to improve delivery consistency and speed.ย 
  • Experience contributing to customer workshops, technical discovery, and solution planning activities.ย

$135,000 - $165,000 a year
The compensation range indicated in this posting reflects the On-Target Earnings ("OTE") for this role, which includes a base salary and any applicable target bonus amount. This OTE range may vary based on the candidate's relevant experience, qualifications, and geographic location.ย ย
