Job description

CNC TECHNICIAN – 2nd SHIFT
Automation Personnel Services is seeking an experienced CNC Techncian with a well-established manufacturing company in Smyrna, GA. They are looking for highly skilled CNC Machinists with expertise in GD&T and G & M Code to support advanced precision manufacturing operations in a structured, high-quality production environment where skilled craftsmanship and precision are valued.

Pay Rate 
Based on Experience
 
Schedule and Hours 
Monday-Friday, 2:00 PM-10:00 PM
 
CNC Technician Duties and Responsibilities
• Set up, adjust, and operate CNC machines to produce precision metal components
• Read and interpret blueprints to ensure dimensional accuracy and product conformity
• Perform inspections using precision measuring tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.)
• Monitor part quality and make appropriate adjustments to maintain specifications
• Troubleshoot machine, tooling, and program-related issues as needed
• Perform rework and finishing processes while maintaining part integrity
• Maintain accurate production and quality documentation
• Collaborate with team members and leadership to support efficient workflow
• Provide guidance and support to machine operators as needed
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
 
CNC Technician Qualifications and Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required
• Proven experience in CNC machining, including cutting metal and producing precision parts
• Hands-on experience with GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) and G & M Code required.
• Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Experience using precision measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges, etc.)
• Previous experience leading or supporting a team of operators highly preferred.
• Ability to troubleshoot CNC machines, tooling, and programming issues
• Drug screening and background check required at time of hire.
