Project Manager

Location: - Atlanta, GA 30303

Duration: - 280 hours (around 2 months)

Position Description/Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing IT projects from Concept to Close Out and Operations phases and supporting AVS for construction projects that have IT systems. This includes managing the development of projects through the Department of Information Technology Aviation Life Cycle process and coordinating with Planning & Development on their project life cycle process. Deliverables include creating scope definition, creating Project Plans, creating MS Project schedules, conducting WBS sessions and developing project budgets.

Other responsibilities are as follows:

1. Assist users and stakeholders in the preparation of the Project Initiation Requests form and Business Cases to support project request; facilitate the development of the Work Breakdown Structure for each project. This includes meeting with the stakeholders and customers to define the activities required to obtain customer satisfaction and to complete the project.

2. Conduct Project Team meetings for each project. Ensure the customers' requirements and concerns are addressed and remedied according to the project Life Cycle process; this position will also prepare meeting minutes and ensure action items are assigned to team members as indicated in the project meetings for timely resolution.

3. Manage the Project within budget. Ensuring that cost overruns are avoided by managing the scope and schedule for the project. Also, resolving project issues by involving the subject matter experts, customers, and vendors as required.
