Position Overview:

The Assistant Vice President (AVP), Marketing is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing integrated marketing initiatives that support the Bank's strategic priorities, drive customer acquisition and retention, strengthen brand awareness, and support business growth.

This is a role for a well-rounded marketing professional who enjoys executing across multiple marketing disciplines. The ideal candidate is a marketing generalist with experience in digital marketing, content creation, website management, paid advertising, social media, events, and campaign analytics.


The AVP will collaborate closely with Retail Banking, Business Banking, Digital Banking, and external vendors to develop and execute marketing campaigns that enhance customer experience and support the Bank's business objectives.


Key Responsibilities:
  1. Marketing Strategy & Campaign Execution
    • Develop and execute integrated marketing campaigns supporting retail banking, business banking, lending, and digital banking initiatives.
    • Coordinate marketing initiatives across digital, social, print, email, branch, and community channels.
    • Assist in developing annual marketing plans and campaign calendars.
    • Ensure all marketing initiatives align with the Bank's brand standards and strategic objectives.


  1. Digital Marketing
    • Plan, implement, and optimize paid digital advertising campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads (Bing), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), LinkedIn, and other relevant platforms.
    • Support campaign budgets and monitor performance metrics.
    • Support search engine optimization (SEO) and search engine marketing (SEM) initiatives.
    • Execute email marketing campaigns and customer communications.


  1. Content Development & Creative Services
  • Develop compelling content for digital and traditional marketing channels, including website copy, blogs, social media, email campaigns, customer communications, advertisements, brochures, presentations, and sales materials.
  • Design marketing collateral and digital assets using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Create and edit basic video and multimedia content for digital marketing and social media.
  • Maintain consistency in brand messaging and visual identity across all communications.
  • Support management of third-party content creation vendors


  1. Website Management
    • Manage and maintain website content using the Bank's content management system (CMS).
    • Coordinate website updates, landing pages, promotions, and new product launches.
    • Monitor website analytics and recommend improvements to user experience and content effectiveness.
    • Ensure website content remains accurate, compliant, and up to date.


  1. Social Media Management
    • Develop and manage the Bank's social media content calendar.
    • Create engaging content that supports customer engagement and brand awareness.
    • Monitor social media performance and identify opportunities to increase audience growth and engagement.
    • Stay current on emerging social media trends and best practices.


  1. Events & Community Engagement
    • Coordinate marketing support for sales initiatives, community events, financial education programs, sponsorships, and business development activities.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to maximize community engagement opportunities.


  1. Marketing Analytics & Reporting
    • Track and analyze marketing campaign performance using Google Analytics, advertising platforms, social media insights, and other reporting tools.
    • Prepare regular reports on campaign performance, website traffic, digital engagement, and marketing effectiveness.
    • Use data and insights to recommend improvements and optimize future campaigns.


  1. Vendor & Project Management
    • Coordinate with external agencies, printers, photographers, media partners, and marketing vendors.
    • Manage multiple marketing projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and budget expectations.
    • Support implementation and administration of marketing technologies and digital platforms.


Qualifications

  1. Required Education & Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field.
    • 4-6 years of marketing experience, preferably in financial services, professional services, or another regulated industry.
    • Demonstrated experience managing integrated marketing campaigns across multiple channels.
    • Experience managing paid digital advertising campaigns.
    • Strong content writing, editing, and storytelling skills.
    • Experience designing marketing materials using Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite.
    • Experience managing website content using a content management system (CMS).
