Job Description:

The AVP, Advisory Programs Strategy & RPM Enablement is responsible for supporting the evolution and growth of LPL's advisory platform strategy, with a primary focus on Representative Portfolio Management (RPM) and the integration of Commonwealth Financial Network (CFN) advisors into LPL's advisory ecosystem.

This role serves as a critical connector between business strategy, product development, advisor experience, supervision, and field adoption. Working closely with the VP, RPM, the AVP helps translate strategic priorities into actionable initiatives that enhance platform capabilities, improve advisor engagement, and accelerate adoption of model-based investment practices.

The AVP partners across Advisory Programs, Trading, and Go-to-Market teams to ensure platform enhancements align with advisor needs, regulatory requirements, and enterprise objectives. This position plays a key role in shaping how advisors leverage RPM and related advisory solutions to optimize their practices and deliver improved client outcomes.

Roles & Responsibilities:

RPM Strategy & Platform Evolution

  • Support the VP, RPM in defining and executing strategic priorities for RPM and related advisory solutions.
  • Help identify opportunities to enhance platform capabilities, advisor workflows, and operating efficiencies.
  • Develop recommendations that support the firm's long-term vision of enabling scalable, model-based advisory practices.
  • Evaluate industry trends, competitive offerings, and advisor feedback to inform platform enhancements and strategic direction.

Commonwealth (CFN) Advisory Integration

  • Partner with stakeholders supporting the Commonwealth integration to ensure RPM capabilities align with advisor transition and adoption needs.
  • Serve as a strategic liaison between Advisory Programs and CFN stakeholders regarding advisory solutions and operating models.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline advisor migration, onboarding, and utilization of RPM, SAM, and SWM capabilities.
  • Support cross-functional efforts to align product capabilities with the target advisor experience.

Advisory Practice Optimization

  • Drive initiatives that help advisors transition toward scalable model-based portfolio management approaches.
  • Partner with field teams and consulting groups to understand advisor challenges and opportunities.
  • Help define advisor workflows, servicing models, and platform enhancements that improve practice efficiency and client outcomes.
  • Support development of advisor-facing value propositions focused on practice scalability, consistency, and growth.

Go-to-Market & Adoption Execution

  • Collaborate with Go-to-Market, Sales, Consulting, and Training teams to support advisor adoption initiatives.
  • Develop messaging, positioning, and educational content that articulates the value of RPM and model-based investing.
  • Monitor adoption trends and advisor feedback to identify opportunities for increased utilization and engagement.
  • Support launch readiness and change management activities for new capabilities and enhancements.

Business Planning & Strategic Execution

  • Support annual planning activities, business case development, and prioritization processes.
  • Develop executive-level presentations, recommendations, and performance reporting.
  • Track strategic initiatives and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Translate leadership priorities into actionable plans with measurable outcomes.

Leadership

  • Influence cross-functional stakeholders through strong partnership, communication, and execution.
  • Foster alignment across Advisory Programs, Trading, Product, Operations, Technology, and Field organizations.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to leadership by providing data-driven recommendations and strategic insights.
  • Contribute to a culture of innovation, accountability, and advisor-centric decision making.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 8+ years of experience in wealth management, advisory platforms, investment products, consulting, strategy, or product management.
  • Experience working with advisory programs, managed accounts, model portfolios, or investment platforms.

Pay Range:

$117,626.00 - $196,112.00
Actual base salary varies based on factors, including but not limited to, relevant skill, prior experience, education, base salary of internal peers, demonstrated performance, and geographic location.
