As a Team Member, you will play a vital role in ensuring an exceptional customer experience by preparing high-quality beverages, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting food preparation. This position requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a commitment to excellent service.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Beverage Preparation
  • Greet customers and provide outstanding customer services
  • Craft high-quality espresso-based drinks, teas, and specialty beverages
  • Ensure consistency in drink preparation following company recipes and standards
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the coffee station
  • Receive and process payments via credit card
  • Store Cleanliness & Maintenance
  • Clean and sanitize counters, equipment, and customer areas throughout the shift
  • Sweep and mop to maintain a clean space for guest
  • Ensure proper upkeep of workstations, utensils, and storage areas
  • Follow health and safety guidelines for food handling

Secondary Responsibilities:

  • Serve and prepare food, avocado toast, pastries and muffins
  • Prepare avocado toast and other light food items following company recipes
  • Ensure food quality and freshness while maintaining cleanliness standards
  • Assist with general cleaning, including taking out trash and maintaining store hygiene
  • Restock ingredients and supplies as needed
  • Support other team members to ensure smooth store operations
  • Deliver food and drink orders from the counter to customers promptly and accurately
  • Assist with restocking supplies (cups, lids, milk, pastries, condiments, etc.)
  • Keep the front-of-house and back-of-house areas clean and organized
  • Clear and wipe down tables, return dishes to the kitchen, and reset dining areas
  • Support baristas and kitchen staff during peak hours
  • Help manage to-go and delivery orders as needed

Requirements

  • High school diploma: relevant training is a plus
  • A naturally positive attitude and a genuine love for connecting with people
  • Previous work experience as a Barista or Customer Service
  • Knowledge of sanitation regulations
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to gauge customers' preferences
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, holidays and weekends
  • Food handler certification

Physical Requirements: This position requires a combination of physical tasks to perform duties effectively, including:

  • Standing (90%) - Extended periods throughout the shift
  • Walking (15%) - Assisting team members and customers within the cafe
  • Bending/Reaching (20%) - Retrieving products, stocking shelves, and cleaning workspaces
  • Lifting/Carrying (20%) - Carrying objects up to 25 lbs., including supplies and inventory
  • Reaching (3%) - Accessing storage areas above shoulder level
