Job description

ITnova is seeking a skilled H-1 Avionics Technician to join our aviation maintenance team supporting mission-critical rotary-wing aircraft operations. This position is responsible for inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and modifying aircraft electrical and avionics systems to ensure optimal performance and mission readiness. The ideal candidate has a strong background in military or commercial aircraft avionics, is proficient in diagnosing complex electrical and avionics system issues, and is committed to delivering safe, reliable, and high-quality maintenance in a fast-paced, mission-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform aircraft maintenance to include inspection, operational test, repair, and modification of aircraft electrical and avionics systems.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of applicable maintenance and technical manuals, publications, and special tools and test equipment.
  • Maintain familiarity with operational capabilities and limitations of electrical and avionics systems.
  • Perform troubleshooting and rewiring of complex avionics and electrical system discrepancies and modifications.
  • Use blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, manufacturers' drawings, and sketches in the performance of assigned duties.
  • May be required to perform Maintenance Operational Checks (MOCs), when qualified and authorized.
  • Complete maintenance documentation accurately using OOMA and required forms, as required by job assignment.

Requirements:
  • Minimum of 3 years aviation avionics experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year in a primary MOS fromOccFld632X Avionics, an equivalent skill designation from another service, or completion of and certification through an aviation electronics school.
  • FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification and/or FCC license is a plus.
  • Must be able to meet any Government and company licensing or qualification requirements for the position.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen and able to pass a background check and obtain and maintain a Common Access Card (CAC).
  • Must have and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • Show proficiency in the use of OOMA within 60 days of assignment.

Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to lift and maneuver 50 pounds.
  • Able to pass a fit-for-work physical and/or drug test as required.
  • Must be able to work in areas that require awkward posturing, bending, kneeling, squatting, and working overhead.
  • Must be able to work at height in the hangar and on the flight line, as required.
  • Able to man and perform flight line extinguisher duties, as required.
  • If required, must be able to pass a DOT physical and operate powered industrial trucks.
  • If required, must be able to pass a respiratory physical and wear a respirator for 2 to 4 hours.
  • If required, must be able to perform confined space activities.
  • Travel may be required.
