SUMMARYThe Professional, Engineering - Avionics / Integrated Modular Avionics is responsible for supporting the design, development, integration, validation, and certification of highly integrated avionics control systems and distributed integrated modular architectures. This position works within the Avionics Center of Excellence to evaluate current and emerging flight deck technologies, define architecture requirements, support IMA application development and testing, and provide technical recommendations that enable efficient aircraft systems integration.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSDevelop knowledge and technical expertise related to Highly Integrated Control Systems and Distributed Integrated Modular ArchitecturesSupport OEM requirement capture for IMA System Architecture, IMA Platforms, and Hosted FunctionsDefine roles and responsibilities associated with the IMA System Integrator, IMA Application Provider, and IMA Platform ProviderApply DO-297 guidelines to support IMA development, safety, and certification plans in collaboration with internal stakeholders and suppliersUse integrated tool chains provided by the platform provider to build and test IMA applications using virtual test benches and hardware-in-the-loop environmentsDevelop and
