Job description

WHDH is hiring a full-time photographer/editor to shoot and edit news stories on deadline. A thorough knowledge of all ENG practices is required. Candidates should be adept multitaskers comfortable with working in a fast-paced, breaking news environment and able to handle last-minute changes under pressure. Must be able to communicate well with co-workers in the field and the newsroom. Candidates should ideally have at least 2 years of professional experience in broadcast television. Experience using the following technology and equipment is a plus: Sony PMW-500 HD422 2/3” CCD HD Camcorder, LiveU, and Grass Valley and Avid edit and ingest systems. This is a union position with attractive benefits and a pension. The job is 100% on-site at either the station’s downtown Boston office or in the field gathering news. The expected salary range for this position is $54,500 to $64,900 annually. The final offer will be determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the candidate's experience, knowledge and skills.
