Job description

Do you enjoy turning complex administrative and operational information into clear, accurate work products? Can you independently coordinate priorities, improve processes, and deliver useful reports for government leaders?

Avid Core is seeking a Senior Analyst, Consulting to provide experienced administrative, operational, and analytical support to a federal law enforcement client in Washington, DC. This is a full-time role for a resourceful professional who can independently manage assignments, coordinate with stakeholders, and produce high-quality reports and materials.

Salary Range: $80,000 - $100,000, based on experience and qualifications.

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Independently coordinate administrative, operational, and business support assignments for government teams, projects, and leadership
  • Manage document and data workflows, including electronic files, records, internal trackers, audit materials, and supporting documentation
  • Develop and maintain reports, presentations, written materials, charts, tables, dashboards, and data visualizations
  • Compile, validate, analyze, and summarize information to support program decisions and ad hoc leadership requests
  • Conduct open-source research and translate findings into clear, concise, and actionable work products
  • Coordinate executive and meeting support, including calendars, agendas, minutes, action items, travel arrangements, and briefing materials
  • Administer SharePoint content, lists, libraries, and basic workflows and assist users with navigation, document retrieval, and information organization
  • Support office operations and logistics, including inventory, supplies, equipment, and government-furnished property tracking
  • Support onboarding, offboarding, personnel documentation, workforce tracking, and other human resources activities
  • Coordinate with government team leads, program managers, supervisors, and leadership to clarify requirements and monitor deadlines
  • Identify risks, data gaps, process issues, and opportunities to improve administrative efficiency and work-product quality
  • Review work for completeness, accuracy, clarity, consistency, and compliance with established client standards
  • Support special projects, high-priority initiatives, and temporary increases in workload as assigned
  • Adapt to reassignment among teams, programs, projects, or priorities based on client needs

Qualifications/Skills:

  • At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in administrative, operational, analytical, or business support roles
  • Strong customer service skills and experience supporting stakeholders in a structured, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and SharePoint
  • Experience developing reports, presentations, trackers, dashboards, or other data-informed work products
  • Ability to organize, validate, analyze, and clearly summarize qualitative and quantitative information
  • Strong document management, research, writing, editing, and quality-control skills
  • Ability to independently manage multiple assignments while coordinating effectively with team leads and stakeholders
  • Experience supporting federal, state, local, or other public-sector clients is preferred
  • Ability to obtain and retain the required federal background investigation
  • Certifications in Microsoft Office, SharePoint, or data analysis tools such as Power BI are preferred but not required

Location:

This full-time position is based at federal client sites in Washington, DC. The selected candidate must be available to work onsite and may be assigned between two downtown client locations. Telework may be permitted only with prior written government approval and may be modified, suspended, or revoked based on mission needs.
