Position Overview

SteerBridge seeks Software Engineers to support delivery efforts for our F-35 project. This initiative is focused on modernizing and enhancing security, reliability, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Software Engineers are responsible for supporting empirical product development, including but not limited to grooming Product Backlog, ensuring team communication and understanding each Sprint, informing the planning process to maximize value, and identifying impediments while practicing agility.
Ideal candidates are quick learners, curious, innovative, results-oriented and have strong interpersonal skills.

Required Qualifications

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.ย 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent relevant work experience.ย 
  • An active Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain one is required.ย 
  • Minimum 8 years of full-stack software engineering experience.ย 
  • Expertise in React.js, TypeScript, Node.js, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).ย 
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills in cross-functional environments.ย 
  • Proficiency in the PERN/MERN Stack (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, Express.js, React.js, Node.js).ย 
  • Solid understanding of JavaScript module systems (ESM, CommonJS) and modern bundling workflows (e.g., Webpack, Vite, Rollup).ย 
  • Experience with declarative and functional programming patterns (React hooks, immutability, functional components).ย 
  • Experience deploying and monitoring web applications using cloud resources AWS and container (Docker).
  • Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation.ย 
  • Experience operationalizing machine learning solutions.ย 
  • A passion for thriving in a fast-paced, agile environment and implementing creative, scalable solutions.ย 
  • Ability to guide junior team members in developing clean, maintainable, and declarative code.ย 
Preferred Qualificationsย 
  • Top Secret clearance.ย 
  • AWS Professional or Specialty certification.ย 
  • Experience supporting DoD.ย 
  • Agile development experience (Scrum, Kanban).ย 
  • Familiarity with Keycloak for IAM.ย 
  • Experience working with GOVCLOUD and Iron Bank resources.ย 
  • Experience with tRPC.
  • Experience with government RMF/ATO/Cybersecurity requirements.
$145,000 - $175,000 a year
Annually, commensurate with experience and location.
