Operations Support Specialist

The Operations Support Specialist provides operational and technical support to funeral home and cemetery employees across the company. This role assists with day-to-day business operations by troubleshooting system issues, providing user support and training, documenting processes, and helping ensure operational consistency across the organization.
Compensation: $60,000 - $65,000 per year
Job Type: Monday - Friday (work from home on Friday's)
Location: 3040 Post Oak Blvd
Essential Responsibilities
  • Provide operational and technical support for company business systems.
  • Troubleshoot system and process issues and escalate when appropriate.
  • Assist employees with questions related to business processes, policies, and system functionality.
  • Create and maintain user guides, reference materials, and process documentation.
  • Deliver virtual and in-person training on business systems and operational procedures.
  • Support system enhancements, operational projects, and new business implementations.
  • Assist with integration and system support for newly acquired locations.
  • Partner with Operations, Accounting, IT, Programming, and other departments to resolve issues.
  • Maintain knowledge of any legal requirements/ regulations (federal, state, and local) as it relates to areas of support. I.e., funeral and cemetery regulations regarding contracts. Ensure the teams we support are informed of requirements and operationally compliant.
  • Generate reports, analyze information, and identify opportunities for process improvement.
  • Provide exceptional customer service while managing multiple priorities.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong customer service, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Technical aptitude with the ability to learn and support multiple business systems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, including Excel and Word.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
