2027 Internship - Operations (TRU Simulation - Lutz, FL)

Description

As an intern with Textron, you'll gain hands-on experience while exploring your interests and building new skills. You'll be supported and challenged to contribute in meaningful ways - working on real projects alongside experienced professionals to prepare for future success.

JOB SUMMARY:

The TRU Customer Support Intern will have the drive and ability to learn and contribute quickly in a team setting, analyze and develop solutions to design and manufacturing issues, as well as assisting our operations of both facilities.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Research, design, and evaluate electro-mechanical products, systems, and processes to support new and existing aircraft flight simulator trainers.
  • Confer with peers and cross-functional team to implement new processes, resolve system operation errors, and implement procedures
  • Research and analyze data, such as customer design proposal, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design or application

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

  • Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Operations, Business Management, or related field.

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Familiar with manufacturing, engineering, or a combination of both.
  • Strong interpersonal relations skills
  • Resourceful/problem solver
  • Able to quickly adapt to change
  • Self-confidence and initiative
  • Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.
  • Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.

Applicants must be authorized to work lawfully in the U.S. for Textron Aviation at the time of making application, and visa sponsorship is not available for this position, including for F-1 students and J-1 exchange visitors who will need employment sponsorship.

Summer internships are 40 hours per week typically from late-May to early-August lasting 10 weeks.

Candidates must be able to work onsite for the entirety of the internship program unless approved otherwise by the hiring manager.

Textron Aviation Inc. must comply with U.S. export control laws. If a position requires access to information controlled under U.S. regulations applicant must be eligible to meet any requirements to access controlled information.
