Internship Overview
We believe the best way to start your career is by doing work you actually care about. In our internship program, you take the driver's seat. We tailor your day-to-day projects around your specific career interests and goals, not just a checklist of corporate chores.
As a leading electrical contractor, we'll give you an insider's look into the industry through real-world experience on active projects. You'll get to see how different teams collaborate to bring complex projects to life, build practical and professional skills, and learn directly from industry pros in the field and office.
Role Overview
As an innovation intern, you'll be getting hands-on experience across modern tech workflows, data reporting, software automation, and field tech integration.
Because our program is tailored to your goals, you'll have the opportunity to explore the areas that interest you most. You might help test internal apps, automate processes, build custom reporting dashboards, or collaborate with field teams using construction technologies. No matter where your interests lead, you'll contribute to meaningful projects that make a lasting impact on our culture and company.
What You'll Do
Key Responsibilities
Build & Test Digital Solutions
  • Bring new technical ideas to life by helping design, test, and roll out mobile applications that streamline operations.
  • Assist with automating daily workflows to reduce manual tasks and improve team productivity.

Drive Data Insights & Systems Support
  • Help turn data into action by creating custom Power BI dashboards and managing basic SQL datasets.
  • Assist with resolving IT support tickets and maintaining field-level technologies like Procore and BIM systems.

Explore What Interests You Most
  • Tailor your project workload around your specific career goals.
  • You'll get opportunities to dive deeper into app development, shadow data analysis projects, explore construction technology out in the field, or focus on IT infrastructure.

Additional duties as assigned.
What You'll Bring
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
  • Curious and ready to jump in, just bring enthusiasm, ask great questions, and be excited to take ownership of real projects.
  • Problem solver with a strong interest in technology, process improvement, and finding smart ways to make our workday run smoother.
  • Trustworthy and ethical, with the discretion needed to handle company data and internal systems.

Demonstrated Accomplishment
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with team members at all levels and explain technical ideas clearly.
  • A problem-solving mindset focused on looking at manual tasks, spotting ways to make them better, and bringing practical tech ideas to life.
  • Experience with Microsoft Power Platform, Power BI, Procore, and a quick ability to pick up new tools and systems.

Education & Experience
  • Currently enrolled in a degree or certificate program in Information Technology, Construction Management, Engineering, Business, or related field.

What You'll Get
Working Conditions:
The majority of the time you will work in a typical office environment. Occasionally, you may travel to a construction job site. When on construction job sites you will encounter typical construction conditions including extreme temperatures, noise, dust, mud debris, welding, leading edge, trenching, and shoring, sometimes in a confined space. You may be required to visit multiple locations during any one day.
Salary Range: $20.00 - $25.00/hour
*Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity. *
